Have you ever been to Lake Powell? It's a beautiful place, half in Arizona and half in Utah. The first time I went I was with Derek and his family while we were just dating. Before I met my pilot I was never the camping, boating or fishing type. I LOVED the trip. I caught 13 fish that trip, it was awesome! Up until a couple days ago we hadn't been to Lake Powell in 3 years. It was a much needed trip and gave us a little time together. I put together a little dinner for us to have over the camp fire. Burgers, corn on the cob, and baked beans. I made the burgers the night before, put them in the freezer so they'd stay fresh in the cooler. Have you ever had a burger with baked beans and chips on top of a burger? If you haven't try it, it's delicious!
Adapted from Little Miss Momma
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
1/4 cup of Baby Ray's original bbq sauce
1/2 tsp Season Salt
1/2 tsp Cracked black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
Makes 4 hamburger patties
Mix everything together in a medium size bowl, I use my mix and chop from pampered chef so I don't have to touch the meat, sts. Form the meat patties, I have a tupperware contraption I use to form mine. You can use a charcoal grill or a george forman to cook them until they are no longer pink in the middle. Prepare your bun and top with your condiments. Like I said my favorite things to put on a burger are baked beans and ruffles potato chips.
As for the corn on the cob, just put it on the grill in the husk. Spread some butter on the corn when its finished sprinkle with season salt & pepper or just salt.
