Dump Cake w/Homemade Ice Cream (Rated 5 per husband)


When we first moved to Sheppard AFB, TX the housing community had a cooking class. Since my husband was TDY for 6 weeks and I hadn't made many friends yet, I went. It kinda turned into a pampered chef promo, which was slightly disappointing. Oh well, I walked away with this awesome recipe for dump cake. With this cake you can choose any pie filling. Our favorite is Blueberry, but I've also used peach and raspberry with great results.



For this recipe you need:

-Half a box of yellow cake mix
-1 stick of melted butter
-Pie Filling of your choosing
-Vanilla Ice Cream

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Dump pie filling in round cake pan, dump half of the cake mix on top and smooth down, and dump melted butter on top. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

As you can see this recipe is so easy and I guarantee will please any crowd. Enjoy!
